There are so many waterfalls in Bali that you will probably not be able to visit them all. Today I'm sharing with you my favorite ones. There are three different areas that you can visit in 3 different days as they are far and difficult to combine. We hired a private driver from Ubud to take us to each one at sunrise.
Some things you need to know before you go to explore them; Bring confortable shoes as it may not be very easy to get to, bikini, sunscreen, umbrella (Usually rains at mid day) and cash to pay the entrance fee (10-30k per waterfall).
We started our day at sunrise in the Golf Course Gates and then we headed here. It is only 15-20 min away by car so you can perfectly combine both places in your itinerary. It takes around 1.15h from Ubud.
This one was one of our favorites, it's a very high and powerful waterfall. It is not deep enough to swim but you will be surrounded by nature and it is not very busy. It is easy to find and after you park your car it will only take you 10-15 min through the jungle path. We had the fall for ourselves for more than hour and then stopped for a balinese coffee at a local cafe next to it.
Another beautiful fall, it is very big and probably one of the busiest ones as you can go swimming.
It is around 30 min walk from the parking lot, it is not very difficult to get to, just make sure to bring an umbrella and confortable shoes as it can be slippery too.
It is one of the biggest waterfalls in the area, perfect for a swim.

We decided to combine our first day with some temples and lakes so we didn't have time to visit these last two waterfalls. If you just want to visit waterfalls can visit these last two one going and the other coming back. This one is around 40 min away from Ubud Center.
Maybe one of the less famous (by now) waterfalls around Ubud, it is a little waterfall that you can enjoy for yourself during the week, as it gets a bit busy on weekends with locals.

On our second trip we decided to visit some waterfalls that were closer to Ubud as it took us a long time to go north due to traffic in the evenings.
Probably one of the most famous locations for weddings and organized trips. Make sure to come earlier to avoid crowds.
We started our day at 6 am in the Tegallalang Rice Terraces. We were the first ones to enter and we finished by the time everyone started coming.
At 8 am we arrived to Tibumana, we even saw a wedding! Remember to bring your bikini as you can go swimming, although it will be full of photographers taking pictures all the time. If you just want to relax and enjoy the fall may be better to come later, so it won't be just people taking photos. It is also one of the easiest falls to get to.
Tip: Check all the things you can do in Ubud
We were a little disappointed about Kanto Lampo, as we went on the rainy season we didn't know you couldn't actually get into the waterfall, see it from the front or go swimming as we have seen in many photos.
Make sure to visit during dry season or you will find just a small slippery corner after paying the entrance fee.
If you still have some time, make sure to visit Tukad Cepung, it is a waterfall inside a cave. It is very popular too but worth it as it is different from the others.

Make sure to pack a good breakfast and rest the day before as these ones are quite far compared to the others. This itinerary may be better if you are staying in Munduk Area.
They are very popular, therefore very crowd too. If you want to take good pictures make sure to come early.

Another beautiful fall you can add to your list. Unfortunately, we did not have enough time to visit this one as we came from Ubud and it is a long way.
You can also combine this waterfall on the route from day 1. It was by far the hardest fall to get to. It’s not entirely unknown, but it’s a little dislocated and hard to find. The hike down is 40 minutes at least, it took as longer as it started raining and the path was slippery. Make sure to bring confortable shoes.
There are so many beautiful waterfalls in the area, make sure to spend at least one full day exploring the falls of the same area, as there are so many you will not have enough time to see them all.
