Marrakesh - Where to stay

a year ago travel

It took me a little, but I’m finally sharing with you my Marrakech travel guide – Where to Stay. After visiting Marrakech for the second time I’m ready to share with you my favorite Hotels and Riads. As soon as we landed we fall in love with its architecture and colorful streets. There are so many options that you can find on Airbnb or Booking, we will tell you a little bit about our favorite ones

Definitely one of our favorites. Ingrid, the owner welcomed us with a traditional moroccan tea, she was very kind as she let us visit the Riad when we couldn’t book our stay at her Riad. We spent our evening dancing around in the roof, drinking tea with our furry friend. Next time we will stay here for sure, it has the best rooftop of Morocco. You can also book a romantic dinner in the main area surrounded by palms, flowers and kittens.

One of Instagram’s most famous spots, everything is perfectly decorated. If you are planning on staying here remember to book in advance, we were late and everything was booked so we could not stay with them either, but we are adding this place for our bucket list next year.

Vegan friendly riad where everything is so colorful and beautiful. It has a pink rooftop where breakfast is served. It is always booked, you may need to book months in advanced.

It is also a creative riad, where they welcome artists to work in their new creations and develop new ideas.

We stayed here for two days and we loved it! You may have recognized for the little pool, where you have breakfast every morning. After a long walk you can relax in the pool with the roses and candles or go upstairs to the pink rooftop to read a book or use the jaccuzzi.

A traditional riad right in the heart of the Medina. It looks similar to Riad Yasmine, colorful with green and blue shades. You may have recognized from instagram, as everyone tries to stay here, rooms need to be booked months in advanced!

If you are planning to visit Marrakech but you also want to feel in the tropics this is your place. The hotel has 10 private villas inspired in African architecture, breakfast is served in your garden every morning. As you have seen in my instagram, this place has one of the most beautiful pools I have ever seen. It was very relaxing and highly recommended! Lunch and dinner can also be booked on request. It is a luxury stay for an affordable prize.

Sofitel Hotels never disappoint, Our room was one of the best we have ever stayed in, we were welcomed with nuts and dates, I was beautifully decorated with some nice traditional touches. Every room has a balcony surrounded by hanging flowers looking to the pool and the atlas mountains.

We loved the huge breakfast selection with fresh juices, different kind of breads, cakes, sweets, fruit, they make you anything you want. We had breakfast every morning right next to the infinity pool and then went for a swim into the main pools.

If you prefer something more private and spend time by the pool, Four Seasons has everything you need. We went for lunch and spent some time in the main pool, only for adults. Everybody was very kind to us, the staff were impeccable, everyone smiled and offered a greeting as we passed, they constantly brought us water and watermelon while we were in the pool.

A hidden gem in Marrakech, one of the most luxurious hotels in the city. When we visit Marrakech we always visit this hotel, as it is like being inside a museum, everything is very well decorated and taken care of. Don’t forget to bring the camera!

           La Mamouia

Make sure to visit La Mamouia if you are not staying here. It is right next to the Medina, after walking around the zouks you can spend some time in the hotel, and take some photos in the famous columns as we did! It is definitely one of the best hotels, if you have some time, you can get a ticket for the famous instagram spa and relax in the pool, you may even run into royals or celebrities as they often stay here!

La Sultana is like the perfect little oasis in vibrant Marrakech, you can even see the tumbas Saadies from the rooftop. It is the most gorgeous hotels we have ever seen, it made me feel like a princess in her castle. It is the full experience of modern comfort and luxury. Walking around the different villas is an adventure as each one is inspired in different styles. Cozy areas and beautiful chairs invites you to take a break and enjoy a cup of tea. If you cannot stay here but you still want to visit the hotel, you can go for lunch at their restaurant in the rooftop. On our visit they were very helpful as they prepared us a full vegan traditional menu (One of the best vegan meals I’ve had)
